Transparency and a well-defined process are crucial for building successful partnerships. I've outlined my client and design process here to ensure you have a clear understanding of each step and when it occurs.
CLIENT PROCESS
01. Initial Consultation
Before we finalize anything, we'll have a quick 30-minute call to outline the full scope of the project, including deliverables, timeframes, budgets, and more. We'll aim to verbally agree on these details during this call.
02. Agreement & Onboarding
After our call, I'll send over a project proposal detailing the agreed-upon deliverables and quote. Once you approve, I'll share the contract, briefing template, and a 50% deposit invoice. We can only proceed once these documents are signed, paid, and filled out.
03. Design Kickoff
With the signed contract, 50% deposit, and the completed brief and moodboard in hand, I can start the design process. I'll follow each stage of my design workflow to develop a primary direction that best addresses your brief.
04. Concept Presentation
In about two to three weeks, I’ll present my work. During this presentation, I’ll walk you through each step of my design process and explain the rationale behind each decision, culminating in one final design. I'll also provide the presentation deck for your reference.
05. Review & Feedback
It's important to let the information from the presentation sink in for a day or two before giving consolidated feedback. Depending on the extent of revisions needed (if any), I may send updates via email or schedule another presentation if more explanation is required.
06. Final Approval & Delivery
Once you’ve signed off on the design, I’ll issue the final invoice. After payment, I’ll send over all the files and exports in an organized folder system for immediate use. I also like to check in with my clients a few months after project completion to see how things are going, so expect a follow-up from me!
By sharing my design process, I aim to provide you with a clear understanding of each step involved in creating a captivating visual identity that resonates with your audience. This ensures you know exactly what to expect and when, fostering a collaborative and efficient workflow. My goal is to keep you informed and engaged throughout the journey, ultimately delivering a final product that not only meets but exceeds your expectations.
At this point, I select 5-10 strong ideas to develop and refine. I often redraw these ideas several times before digitizing them. Once I have refined sketches, I vectorize them on the computer. Usually, one idea stands out as the winner, and I begin enhancing it with color, typography, patterns, etc.
